More Joyous (NZ)
Strawberry Hill Stud’s glamour mare More Joyous (NZ) (More Than Ready) added to her high regard with a slick first-up win in the Listed Winning Edge Presentations Sheraco Stakes (3YO+ F&M, 1100m) on Saturday.
The one-length Rosehill win served as her 6th black-type victory to date and prompted immediate considerations for the 2010 Gr.1 Cox Plate.
Under the tutelage of Gai Waterhouse, the talented four-year-old has achieved a race record of 10 starts for 7 wins and has rewarded connections with A$788,500 in earnings.
The Cambridge Stud-born filly won the Gr.1 AJC Flight Stakes last season and also counts four additional Gr.2 wins courtesy of the Reisling Stakes, the Tea Rose Stakes, the Surround Stakes and the Light Fingers Stakes.
More Joyous (NZ) is raced by Strawberry Hill Stud Syndicate (NSW) (Mgr John Singleton) and combines the bloodlines of the Southern Halo sire More Than Ready with the Gr.1 winning Sunday Silence mare, Sunday Joy.
