The multiple Gr.1 winning racemare Daffodil (NZ) (No Excuse Needed) resumes in the Listed Tui Brewery Wairarapa Thorougbred Breeders Stakes (WFA F&M 1600m) at Tauherenikau this Sunday.
Unseen in the 94 days since her outing in the Gr.1 Melbourne Cup, Daffodil (NZ) features among the nominations for the Gr.1 Stella Artois Auckland Cup (3200m) on March 10.
Of Melbourne Cup credentials, race rival Nadege (NZ) likewise fronts as a notable entry in Sunday’s Listed feature.
Nadege (NZ) is a Giant’s Causeway daughter of the 1998 Melbourne Cup runner up, Champagne and was successful at last attempt.
Each horse carries the 57kg top weight and will jump from the barrier 4 and 12 respectively.
