Sonya has been a dedicated thoroughbred racing enthusiast from an early age, and has followed this passion with employment within the industry for the majority of her professional career.
Sonya spent six seasons at the Auckland Racing Club in administrative and marketing roles, and was the Sponsorship Manager for the club during her final year. She also has 'hands-on' experience of the racing game having worked for Champion trainer Laurie Laxon in Cambridge.
Sonya has been an enthusiastic member of the team at New Zealand Thoroughbred Marketing for two-and-a-half-years, and is driven by the success and triumphs of the New Zealand Thoroughbred on the international stage.
Married to Trackside Presenter Darryl Anderson, Sonya is Mum to 18 month old Jack.
